Basic Behemoth Edits

A manuscript evaluation is meant to give the author big-picture, high-level feedback pertaining to identifying strengths and weaknesses. An evaluation isn’t the same thing as a developmental edit and is nowhere near as in-depth as one. It’s also not meant to fix any mechanical issues. It’s best done before sending off to a developmental, line, or copy editor, as you may end up changing things based on manuscript evaluation feedback.

 

As your evaluator, I’ll read the manuscript over a couple weeks (time dependent on word count) and give a Word document of feedback in regards to what works, what doesn’t, where improvements could be made, and answer any questions you may have.
